ReGen_U's intent is to inspire students of all ages to imagine and invent solutions for real world design challenges by referencing wisdom found from natural system symbiosis, and biomimicry of ecosystems.

By engaging in small teams that express ideas through hands-on activities, progressive learning takes place through physical model building, mechanical device interaction, data-driven knowledge aggregation, and the creation of digital environments and simulations that provide tangible results even after just a few days starting the program.

Participants extend their learning activities through the application of Ai and Machine Learning algorithms starting from basic principles and concepts, to actively training large language models (LLMs) that lead to a stronger understanding and vocabulary that transforms complexity to day-to-day relevance and implementation.

The core focus of the content is based on the principles of sustainability, regeneration, and resiliency in the built environment, especially germane to urban planning for ‘smart cities’ and the relationship of natural resource flows in providing access to life-supporting infrastructure that builds thriving and flourishing communities.
